Strategic Planning With Caribbean National AIDS Coordinators
The Caribbean is second to Africa in adult HIV seroprevalence. Caribbean countries and regional organizations are challenged by the diversity of public health infrastructure, economics, and governance in the fight against HIV. We work together with governments and Caribbean National AIDS Coordinators to build strong HIV public health leadership and to develop coherent regional policy for HIV. The Policy Resource Group, LLC recently provided strategic planning consultation and training to the Caribbean National AIDS Coordinators (CCNAPC) for the development of a regional five year plan. We serve on a team convened by the U.S. based National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD) to provide specialized technical capacity building to CCNAPC and member countries on behalf of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
